Route Based VPN

Hi All, I facing issue while understanding route based vpn with cisco device. I tried to lab the scenario but its not working. the topology is as follows.R1--> Checkpoint firewall --> R2R1 loopback - 1.1.1.1/32R2 loopback - 2.2.2.2/32the objective is to ping 1.1.1.1 to 2.2.2.2 and traffic should go through tunnel. So i am creating route based vpn between checkpoint and r2. The steps that i performed on checkpoint firewall:1. created a tunnel interface remote peer: 192.168.229.10used numberedlocal address 12.12.12.1remote address 12.12.12.22. add route for 2.2.2.22.2.2.2 ----> vpn tunnel int (next HOP)3. on checkpoint gateway in VPN domain call 1.1.1.1. is it necessary to mention VPN domain in route based VPN or we can select or subnets behind gateway option.4. add inter-operable device - R2.5. in VPN community used mesh --> added gateway and router, configured phase 1 and phase 2 parameters and added shared secret key.now on Cisco router i configured following.R1(config)#crypto isakmp policy 1R1(config-isakmp)#encryption 3desR1(config-isakmp)#authentication pre-shareR1(config-isakmp)#group 2R1(config-isakmp)#hash sha256R1(config-isakmp)#crypto isakmp key admin@123 address 192.168.229.11R1(config)#crypto ipsec transform-set MY_TRANSFORM_SET esp-3des esp-sha256-hmac R1(cfg-crypto-trans)#mode tunnelR1(config)#crypto ipsec profile IPSEC_PROFILER1(ipsec-profile)#set transform-set MY_TRANSFORM_SETR1(config)#interface Tunnel 0R1(config-if)#ip address 12.12.12.1 255.255.255.0R1(config-if)#tunnel source 192.168.229.10R1(config-if)#tunnel destination 192.168.229.11R1(config-if)#tunnel protection ipsec profile IPSEC_PROFILER1(config)#ip route 1.1.1.1 255.255.255.255 Tunnel0do we need to mention proxy-acl on cisco router as well. As i understand it is not necessary and routing decision will be taken in account instead of policy.Correct me if i am wrong somewhere. I am still a learner.THANKS

Question about CCSA practice test

Hello, Colleagues!I just tryed to pass practice CCSA test on official site:https://www.checkpoint.com/training/ccsa/chapter3/#I think there is a mistake in 5th question, listed on the screen below. Can anyone explain me, why 1st statement is incorrect? About 4th statement, there is no option about implicit clean-up in Global Properties in R80.20.

CCSM Benefits

I recently acquired my CCSM Certification for R80. I had the previous CCSM as well.I noticed on the Check Point Certification page for R80.X it mentions one of the Benefits of a CCSM is the ability to "Bypass wait times and Fast Track to a Support Engineer". What exactly does this mean?Do I call Check Point Support and give my Check Point ID#?I assume a support contact must exist first.?Just curious, as there really wasn't any direction provided regarding to this benefit.RegardsDave Taylor

Taking CCSM Certification

Hi,I'm bit confused about CCSM certification pre-requisite. My CCSE R77 has recently got expired. I booked"156-915.80: Check Point Certified Security Expert Update - R80" well before my CCSE expiry but good known Pearson VUE website didn't worked on exam day and after i raised this issue with Pearson VUE they re-scheduled exam but after expiry date. After second escalation about date, i received response saying NO date is available. In-short my CCSE expired. Now, my question is that, can i take up CCSM R80 exam or i have to re-certify for CCSE (R77 or R80) first and then seat for CCSM exam? I'm not able to find right direction to move. So any help or information or contact detail is highly appreciated.Regards,Ashish Shah
