Maestro Madness
Need to replace both firewalls in the cluster setup with same hardware and Os . The new and existing hardware is 1490 and the os is R 77.40
R77.40 is not a valid version.
If these are 1490s, they are most likely running R77.20.
Are these 1490s managed with an external management station (e.g. a Smart-1 appliance) or are they self-managed?
The more information you can provide about the environment and why you are needing to perform a replacement, the better assistance we can provide.
managed by a smart-1 appliance . current OS is 77.20. there is a h/w failure on both
In this case, it should be relatively straightforward:
Thanks. actually the existing firewall is not completely down. in that case can you explain the steps for replacing the firewalls with minimum/zero downtime?
Define "not completely down."
one of them has front panle LED issue and other one has battery issue
There is no easy way for this replacement - please see Check Point 1100/1200R/1400 Appliances Centrally Managed Administration Guide R77.20.75 p.13ff.
