I would like to know the WebRTC processing logic in checkpoint

Hi

I would like to know the logic that handles WebRTC in checkpoint

From what I researched, when WebRTC communicating , the logic seems to vary depending on whether the NAT processing supported by the firewall or router is symmetric or asymmetric.

During WebRTC communication, if the firewall supports symmetirc NAT, it seems to relay p2p data through the TURN server. If it supports asymmetirc NAT, it seems to communicate directly by receiving IP and port information between peers through the STUN server.

I'm not sure if I understand correctly

As a result, My customer seems to be preparing WebRTC service.

I would appreciate it if you could tell me what methods Check Point firewall supports.

Thank you in advance for those who responded

It is treated like any other traffic: per the configured access policy (which includes NAT).
There is no specific support for WebRTC, so you'll probably need to have a STUN/TURN server if NAT is involved.
