Hi All

 

R81.20 SmartConsole Build #663 has been released today and is available for download.

 

For more info please refer to SmartConsole documentation R81.20

 

Starting from R81.10, SmartConsole automatically updates to the latest Build, as long as you have an Internet connection. The update is rolled out gradually and should be completed within 1 week. It is not necessary to download and install newer builds manually.

Where can we find the CME in SmartConsole client?

EDIT:

Found it, in multi-domain management this is on MDS level.

I cannot see the Insights option either.

I am using build 663 and referring to SmartConsole OLH and Security Management Admin Guide (WebAdminGuide).

I am also seeing something strange that I have not seen before:

The Summary tab is blank after selecting (clicking) any rule in the Access Control Policy (in both ordered layers).

That ☝️ (corruption in SmartConsole view and blank tabs) just fixed itself when I checked again. The upgrade to 663 was done a couple of hours ago.

I already closed and re-opened SmartConsole because the SmartConsole had combined Access Tools and Threat tools into one long list. That sounds strange (and is) so here is a screenshot.

Re-opening SmartConsole fixed that.

Maybe the very old Windows 10 build in my lab has something to do with that strange stuff I just saw in SmartConsole (Win 10 1809 - 17763.503) and Windows Updates could have avoided it 🙄

Hey Andy,

You need the EA part, if you don't have that (see Daniel's note to me above). 

Working with Policy Insights

To access the Policy Insights window

  1. In SmartConsole, go to the Security Policies view > Access Control > Policy.

  2. Above the Rule Base, click the Insights button.

    The Policy Insights window opens.

You need the relevant server build as well and for it to be enabled in Infinity.
