management gateways implementation
Hi All
Our data center setup was established in 2012, I was not here at the time of installation. Right now i am in a huge confusion related to our management & gateway devices. We have 6 gateways & 2 management devices (One is event management). All the gateways was configured in one management device & other one configured only for log files. Is this possible to configure 6 gateway in one management device,In our current setup smart-1 5 management managing 6 gateways (4800). As per user center it shows "Smart-1 5 Security Management managing 5 gateways with 4 blades". Still we have configured 6 gateways without any license or contract issue.
Now smart-1 5 is out of support & i want to migrate configuration to smart-1 405 appliance. As per smart-1 405 they only support 5 gateways. Is this possible to configure all 6 gateways in smart-1 405, If yes....... how. Will this effect any license or contract file. ????? I am able to generate license from smart update ???
All my gateways license valid till 17 Aug 2021.

First, you should use sk44224: How to match the User Center Product/License to a specific Security Gateway to find out all licensing details!
Maybe each 4800 GW has a NPM license in addition to the Smart-1 5 licenses.
I would then ask my sales contact for CP product for a trade-in of the smart-1 5.

Hi
Thanks for your time & reply.
In our current environment we are using CPSM-C500 in smart-1 5, Will this container expansion will work on our new platform smart-1 405. We already have additional blades cpsm-c500 valid till Aug 2021.

You will need to trade-in for a Smart-1 410.
Managing more than 5 gateways on a Smart-1 405 is not supported and can not be extended.
