Unable to connect to SmartEvent Server
Hi all,
Get this message when connecting to a SmartEvent server within a MDM setup.
- Installed R81.20 Gaia on VMWare
- Followed the First Time Wizard and selected 'Dedicated Log Server / SmartEvent Only'
- Created a Check Point Host in the Global Domain
- Assigned Global Policy to Domain Servers
- Installed Database on Domain Servers
- All is OK in SmartConsole
But when I want to connect with the SmartEvent client to assign the Domains and specify internal network I get the following message:
"Unable to connect to SmartEvent Server. SmartEvent Server is initializing, please try again in a few moment"
Done this in the past without problems. Am I missing something?
Regards,
Martijn

Did you confirm traffic is reaching the host with tcpdump?

Yes. SmartEvent and MDM server are in the same network and I can see traffic on the known Check Point ports between those IP's.
SIC for SmartEvent server is succesfully established (Global Domain) and Monitor in SmartConsole is OK for the SmartEvent Server.
When I try to connect to the SmartEvent server with the AnalyzerClient, I can see this traffic with tcpdump.
TAC is involved now.

Yeah, definitely need TAC to look into it.
