Smart Console r81.10 Server 2022 Support

Hi All,

Customer has upgraded their VDI OS to Server 2022 and we have recently upgraded their estate to r81.10.

There appears to be an issue with permissions and the SC instillation directory.

Unless the user initiating SC is a full admin the install directory is R/O.

Even editing the directory security permissions makes no difference.

Sadly compliance means we cannot leave the accounts as Admins.

I've reviewed the documentation and Server2022 is not listed as supported.

We raised the above with TAC and was told to raise an RFE.

Does anyone know of any workaround?

Regards

Off hand have you tried the portable version from sk116158?

Portable works but a few features like packet trace and "go-to" don't seem to work properly.

But it can be used at least to make the edits we cant do with the full console.

Cheers.

The documentation now reflects support for server 2022 permissions not withstanding.
