Mgmt R81.20 -> R82 upgrade: "Status and Actions" not visible

Hi

I'm currently upgrading from 81.20 to 82. The update executes just fine, but there is something odd.

In my environment, while upgrading, the message is displayed: "... Log into the Status and Actions page..."

-> catch: there is no Status and Actions page any more

 

Even after installing latest JHF using CLI, the menue does not show up...
I'm maintaining 2 Mgmt and 1 Log-System (all VM), it's the same behavior for all of them

Any help is greatly appreciated

Just to be sure, is view mode possibly set to basic rather than advanced?

OKay, question...so once you log in, does it still give that warming about status page? if so, how long has it been? I ask because one time, I had exact same issue with a client and it took almost 4 hours, since their HDD size was almost 3 TB on mgmt serverand we just had to be patient : - )

Eventually, it all got sorted out...in the meantime, we even called TAC and guy told us to simply wait, so we did lol

Well ... The first migration was one week ago, still not showing "Status and Actions" within the web-UI. installer on CLI is available ...
a few hours ago I've migrated a 6600 gateway to R82, which shows exactly the same issue.

One thing, maybe "the" thing, I just discovered: Only when using an admin account authenticated with TACACS.
When using local admin, it seems to be fine.

Ok, so not an issue with upgrade itself then. One thing I would ensure is that when you log in with admin account, if you navigate to users section of web UI, it shwos that radius account is set to 2fa.

Hey Andy,

2fa is not set. The Problem seems to be: When upgrading from R81.20 to R82, the Tacacs role "TACP-0" needs to be updated as well. That's why I'm not having access to Software Updates any more.

Ah, I see what you mean. I would check with TAC to see if there is any workaround for that.
