Management Stuck for web GUI, SSH also Smart Console after click backup on version R81.10

Hii All,

Our management appliance Smart-1 5150 was going stuck, for SSH, web Gui, also Smart Console. the incident like bellow:

- open management via browser

- access system backup then click backup

- the browser become not accessible

- trying SSH is same, after input password its showing blank screen

- login smart console is same too, after login smart console we see status management lost. then for several second, its got message server not accessible.

anyone ever seen this issue?

the version R81.10 with jumbo hot fix latest T66

Never seen it before, I did that many times on take 66 and also take 75 and no issues. Can you do cpstop/start or reboot it and check again?

Hii Andy,

this incident was happen twice for last, and this time for the third, we cant doing cpstop/cpstop because we cant login to SSH, web GUI also console. for last step we doing reboot device using idrac/lom. after warm reboot, we success do doing generate backup, but after few days we doing again to system backup, but become stuck again.

we already open tac before,already tuning but the issue come again

Did you run hardware diag tool? Sounds like it could be something hardware related, because to me at least, logically, does not appear its software issue. What advice did TAC give?

there are not issuing for the hardware, for last tac suggestion to add management but we dont have it. he analyst that issue with CPU, and we know that smart-1 5150 is ultra high class for management

Maybe have case escalated to higher level and see what they say.

Hii All,

trying to login using user with bash and we can login into expert mode, trying cpstop;cpstart also check cpwd_admin list get cpd terminate, the log at capture. any one ever seen the issue?

Hi Naama,

I think the root cause because high CPU on indexing and java, I trying to reduce max day config from 60 to 14.
