KVM snapshot - qemu-ga agent
Hello,
customer is running management server R80.20 (Take205) on KVM (RHEL).
KVM snaphost must be done after powering off the VM, because qemu-ga agent is not installed, so inconsistent snapshot might be created. Is it safe to manually install qemu-ga agent on management server?
Thank you.

Hi Tomas,
Other than in VMware environments typically only the provided Check Point / GAiA methods are supported depending upon the use case ie:
- backup
- migrate export
- snapshot

My suggestion would be to be delighted to have regular shutdowns of the SMS 😉 The SMS outage should be short enough anyway.
