IPS Blade
HI All,
I have checkpoint 7k Perimeter firewall and the IPS blade is enabled and now we want one additional link to another Router and by doing that did the IPS will block the new connected link generated traffic ?

Apologies, but not sure I understand what you are asking. Are you talking about IPS blade or something else? Your post says blade, but then in description you say "IPS interface". Can you explain more or maybe post simple diagram?

@the_rock Yea I mean IPS Blade...currently the firewall is connected to the internet and act as Gateway and now I add additional link from the gateway firewall to a router and does the threat prevention policy blocks the incoming traffic from the router?

Thats right, it would apply regardless of the traffic flow.

More information is needed about how you have set the interface topology and IPS policy / blade settings to confirm 100% but in general the same logic should apply as with other similarly defined links.

Good point Chris, thats why I asked for simple diagram to confirm this.
