IPS Automatic Update Not Working

Hi All,

For the past few weeks, we have noticed that the automatic update feature for the IPS protection has stopped working. As per our configuration, the system is set to receive daily updates, which had been functioning properly up until this point.

Could you please provide guidance on how to troubleshoot and rectify this issue?

Hello!

sk163540 doesn't exist.. CPM Doctor also offers me sk163540 to fix my problem..is there something else instead?

With the older GAIA OS , only Management Server is take updates from Checkpoint Threat Cloud and after threat Prevention policy installation it apply to the gateways but now onwards Gateway can directly take updates from Threat Cloud.

So just to make sure that connectivity should be there to reach Threat Cloud for updates.

Good practice to use proxy for connection.

So, to check the connectivity run CURL command like below command for reference:

curl_cli -vk https://updates.checkpoint.com -x 1.2.3.4:8080
curl_cli -vk https://services.checkpoint.com -x 1.2.3.4:808

1.2.3.4 is the proxy IP (example).
