R77 to R80.10 Gateway upgrade

What is the best practice to upgrade a Check Point HA pair (5000 series) from Gaia R77 to R80.10 ? Is it recommended to go to R77.30 first and then upgrade R77.30 to R80.10 ?

If we're talking gateways only, there's really not a need to do an in-place upgrade.

Most of the configuration is actually on the Security Management.

That said, you should be able to directly upgrade to R80.x from R77.
