Install Certificate on firewall

Hi Team

I am currently accessing our Check Point firewall using the public IP address.

I would like to access it using an FQDN instead.

Kindly help me to resolve the issue

Thanks

Siddu

Hi,

first you need a DNS entry (A record) so that your FQDN points to the public IP of the firewall.
Then you have to create or request a certificate for this FQDN.

After that you can replace the default self-signed certificate with your new one.
This is described in a Check Point SecureKnowledge article.

Hi Vincent,

I already mapped A record on my DNS portal

now can i follow below steps

Procedure:

  1. Connect with SmartConsole to Security Management Server / Domain Management Server.

  2. In the left panel, click the "Gateways & Servers" view.

  3. Open the Security Gateway / Cluster object.

  4. In the left panel, click the "Platform Portal" pane.

  5. In the section "Certificate", click "Import" and select the certificate file.

  6. Click OK to close the Security Gateway / Cluster object.

  7. Install the Access Control policy.
