Demo Video:
Can we manage SD-WAN without Infinity Portal?
This is in the roadmap.
Dpes SD-WAN support IPoE?
Not currently, please contact your local Check Point office.
Do you have the capability to combat brownouts, send parity packets for dealing with packet loss and how is that handled?
SD-WAN includes Forward Error Correction capability. FEC is configurable and will be further enhanced to granular scenarios later this year.
What is the integration with SASE? Can be used overlay VPN from FW to SASE? Or it is just an active backup VPN
For now, resilient route-based VPNs presents the supported connectivity from on-premises Quantum towards Harmony SASE backbone.
Can you start SD-WAN with single internet circuits at each location then add additional circuits at a later date for redundancy?
Yes, it is possible to start with a single link and add later additional links. SD-WAN is much more than just redundancy it can ensure user experience based on criteria you define.
Does SD-WAN support full stack of QoS mechanisms?
Today, Quantum SD-WAN measures Jittter, Latency and Packet Loss and FEC. There is an EA version around the corner, supporting bandwidth limit and guarantee on a per user-to-application flow. In addition this EA provides bandwidth limits download/upload on a per interface basis and DSCP Code Point marking and mapping DSCP marked traffic to a dedicated steering behavior.
Will you improve the ability to organize policies into sections?
In the context of bringing the SD-WAN control plane onto the Smart-1 Management drag & drop and section titles wil be supported.
Why it is not integrates into the platform this kind of monitoring? Or it will be?
There are plans going forward in the context of SD-WAN Observabilities - stay tuned.
Where was that enhanced monitoring? Infinity portal?
The enhanced Monitoring was in open sourced platform called Grafana, feel free to check the SD-WAN SK for more details and to download the dashboards https://support.checkpoint.com/results/sk/sk180605
The SD-WAN routing decision can be based on the application, can it be country based as well?
As these are standard Updatable Objects we provide, and the SD-WAN policy supports those objects, yes.
When will ElasticXL will support SDWAN?
R82.10.
Can we implement site to site / remote access VPN in SD-WAN to utilize a particular link and monitor its usage?
Yes in each steering object that associated with SD-WAN rule you can define which links will be utilized and then monitored.
Do QoS policies work in conjunction with SD-WAN?
No they do not as SD-WAN will control QoS.
