Identify web browser plugin traffic?

I was wondering if it is possible for security gateways to identify web browser plugins traffic passing through the security gateways?

Application Control has a specific category for Browser Plugins.
This requires App Control and, most likely, HTTPS Inspection to be enabled/configured accordingly.
