I tried to upgrade a MacBook to a more current version using Apple stub installer. After downloading ca. 3,8GB. installation stopped because of a network error.
- tried on 3 machines to download the installer, 2 connected by WLAN, 1 by cable, all not successfull
- tried OS X MDS app for image download, but that also failed
- plugged my cabled MacBook directly to the router, now download of over 6GB finished successfully
Why can that be ? And how come that nothing is visible in the logs ?
This and the limitation from WLAN to LAN internal routing issue are my biggest issues with 15x0 appliances - may be you can help, Amir_Ayalon ?
Im so glad you brought this up Gunther, because I also noticed that sometimes I cant find basic logs on similar SMB appliance where there is a traffic issue. I could never figure out why and only advice I got from TAC was to install latest version. Well, that obviously did not help either : - )
Problem is you would need to enter debug to see dropped but not logged packets. And yes, small footprint makes SMB logging different to GAiA...
What i get is:
curl: (56) Recv failure: Connection reset by peer
Error downloading. Could possibly be due to bad cache file. Deleting the file and trying again.
