Issue with Dual PPPoE Configuration on SMB appliances

Hello everyone,

My company is using four 1800 SMB appliances.

Currently, We have a single PPPoE connection on the WAN interface, which is working fine. However, we have now added another ISP for redundancy and need to configure PPPoE on the DMZ port as well.

We tested this setup on two 1800 appliances (Product: 1800, R81.10.10 build 2993, managed by Smart-1 Cloud) but encountered the following issue:

  • After configuring PPPoE credentials and enabling DMZ-Internet2, both WAN and DMZ links went down, showing the status "Server Unavailable."
  • Switching to Load Balancing or High Availability mode in IPS Redundancy mode did not resolve the issue.

I already open a case with TAC:

  • TAC suggested upgrading the firmware to R81.10.15 B4080, but the issue persists after the upgrade
  • I reported this again to TAC, but the case is still pending for a long time.

Has anyone encountered this issue before? I would appreciate it if you guys can share the recommendations or ideals to troubleshoot this issue.

Thanks & Best Regards.
