ERROR (00351)

Hi,

I have a Checkpoint 1530 device and after some configurations in the device (mostely testing more then one WAN link in the appliance at the same time) it start to show an error notification (error 00351). I contact the support and they said to me update the firmware to R80.20.20. So I restore the device with one backup that I have, the error disappeared and I uptade the firmware. But after another changes the device start to show this error again, can someone hal me? I'm novice working with Checkpoint and perhaps did somenting wrong.

I'm also trying to manually set the nagivation policys using the Strict mode in Access Policy Blade Control and creating one policy with my LAN as source and WAN/32 as destination, is that right? Or I did somenting wrong?

PS: sorry for my bad english, I'm not a english speaker.

...that says the bug was removed in R80.20.10 - but the user is on R80.20.20.

I assume that you use R80.20.20 (992001869) - if not, upgrade the firmware!

1. Strict mode is nothing for novices (and for most customers) as it has many drawbacks - you have to understand very throughly what you want to achieve and how to implement it. See these posts for details:

SMB Strict Mode

Ping to 1530 GW from internal net dropped

2. Your rulebase screenshot does not have the automatic strict rules generated, so i am confused a bit. Outgoing rule should be Source Internal Nets or All and Dest Internet Object. Dest WAN/32 will not match any connection as the outgoing packet destination is Internet, not WAN. But changing to Standard Policy should remediate all your issues!

All the ones in the SK should be resolved in 80.20.40

But the issue still occurs with 80.20.40

For us installing any other FW version resolved the error message.

I would definitely contact TAC as Val suggested, but maybe before you do, would also make sure thats the latest version you can install on that appliance.
