mobile vpn certificate and portal platform

Hi mates,

We use a wildcard certificate for our mobile access portal  *.ssl.domain.com (sslvpn).    I was thinking of creating an alias called webportal.ssl.domain.com for the platform portal.    Does that seem like a good idea?  That way its using the same certificate.  One will resolve to our external interface the other to our internal interface.
