Issues obtaining IP Addresses after Windows 10 Upgrades

Hello,

We're in the process of updating our systems to Windows 10, 1803.

We've been having an intermittent issue where networking will be completely broken after upgrading. None of the adapters will be able to access the TCP/IP stack or pull addresses.

I've found that Uninstalling the Endpoint VPN Client, Rebooting and then reinstalling the client will resolve this but have not found a consistent cause of the behavior.

Thanks!

Hi William

Which endpoint version do you upgrade with?

I have seen a similar problem with endpoint security client e80.83 but not when first upgrading to be using e80.90.

Best regards

Kim

We've seen this behavior twice in our environment so far. The most recent occurrence had Checkpoint VPN Build # 98.6.0.276 Installed.

The most notable behavior was that IPconfig /ALL provided blank information for the Ethernet adapter, no TCP/IP or MAC Address info at all. The same was true when viewing the Ethernet Adapter's details.

I've not been able to recreate this behavior with 80.89 so that anecdotally suggests it's a build specific issue but cannot be positive of it?

Highly recommend opening a TAC case so we can troubleshoot.
