Hi all,

We would like to inform you of an upcoming update that replaces the R82 GA image Take.

The new image, Take 779, includes a fix for the Certificate and CRL validation issue (sk184766).
The new image Take can be downloaded from the R82 Home Page SK.

Important notes:

  •  We strongly recommend installing the latest R82 Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator (Take 91 or above), which will be released soon, on top of this image. Older Jumbo takes will not be supported when installed on top of the new image.
  •  Customers who already manage machines running on Take 777 do not need to upgrade the image. They only need to install the latest Jumbo (Take 91 or above).

Please feel free to reach out with any feedback or questions.

Thank you for your understanding and continued cooperation.

Best regards,
Release Operations Group.

We've tried to install this ISO via LOM on new 7000XL hardware, but we get the message that the platform is not supported and if we press OK, it will be installed as Open Server, which we prefer to avoid as it's unclear what it entails.

So I suppose we have to keep 777 and install Take 91 on top.

The Smart-1 7000 range was released after the R82 GA, so they are not supported with the regular R82 ISOs. The Smart-1 7000 specific R82 ISO has been updated to take 20 to include the CRL fix, linked from their SK:

I think it would be great to also include the detailed information for mentioning the Certificate & CRL Fix in the ISO 777 vs 779 download link.

If we have to install Take 91 ontop of build 779, what is the last Jumbo integrated?  It would have made sense to me that it should include all fixes and updates in JHFA91.

JHF91 include all fixes . Every new take always include all the previous takes fixes.

There is a minor correction @MeravAlon :

Generic: A newer Jumbo Hotfix contains all the fixes from the previous versions UNLESS listed otherwise.

It doesn't happen often but specific hotfixes have been revoked in the past as the side effects were .... unpleasant.

But as a rule of thumbs it works perfectly.
