Hi,
We have a smart1-210 with 16GB. We are upgrading from R77.30 to R80.20. We will do a clean installation in SMS and migrate import but we havent taken any action about smartevent yet. So what is the step to migrate smartevent server? what is the recommended procedure to upgrade SMS with smartevent?
thanks
Hi Jesus,
Please check if below thread is helpful to you.

Hi,
Yes, but this is not helping us. We can not separate the servers. Customer has SMS and smartevent in the same machine. So i opened a TAC case and told me the recommended way to upgrade is by CPUSE upgrade-in-path.
Someone has upgraded SMS ans smartevent in the same machine from R77.30 to R80.20?
im afraid about losing DB or something like this
If upgrading any SMS to R80.20 or later, I'd strongly recommend doing an advanced database migration (migrate export/import), even if you are not moving it to a new piece of SMS hardware. This path will allow you to leverage the new 3.10 kernel with XFS filesystems. An in-place upgrade will retain the old 2.6.18 kernel and ext3 file systems, and will probably take forever on an underpowered machine like a Smart-1 210 anyway.
Really not a good idea to run an SMS and SmartEvent on a Smart-1 210 from a performance perspective, but we seem to have beaten that dead horse enough in this thread:

Ok, thaanks a lot, we will do a clean installation, but its necessary any action for smartevent included in this SMS?
If we want enable/disable blade smartevent, we have to click on smartevent blade in edit object SMS, right?. Its also neccesary to install policy or any action more?,
Hi Jesus,
Edit the management server object and enable below setting
Publish the session and push policy.
