Title: Unable to upgrade SmartConsole R81.20 from Build 646 to Build 665+ (ComponentsInfo file missi

I currently have SmartConsole R81.20 Build 646 installed on a Windows 10 Jumpbox.

When I try to run the exe (R81.20 SmartConsole Downloads) for Build 665 (or later) while SmartConsole is already installed, I get the following error:
"SmartConsole R81.20 is already installed on this machine. Please remove it and try again."

After uninstalling SmartConsole and running the installer again, I get a different error:
"ComponentsInfo file does not exist, please contact support."

Is someone familiar with this issue?

This is probably going to require TAC assistance, if you haven't already opened a ticket.

I would wait for TAC but here is a workaround that might work:

1| Try to install it in a different path

2| Remove any of the old leftovers the installation directory - path like:

C:\Program Files (x86)\CheckPoint\SmartConsole\R81.20 

This will also remove specific settings like views that were changed from default

I know this is a but unconventional way, but when I had that problem couple of years ago in the lab, I installed wise program uninstaller on my windows 11 VM, ran it and removed any trace of smart console and then I was able to reinstall it.

Maybe worth a try.
