SMS Manager Upgrade to R82 from R81 Fails during Database Import

After the SMS server has been upgraded and hotfix applied, the upgrade process fails during database import with the following error message:

After checking the /home/admin folder, I could not trace the /temp-export/ folder as it was deleted shortly after extraction.

Also, the migrate logs ends with the following part section.

I believe this may be a bug with the default CPupgrade-tools-R82 scripts.

From my analysis, it appears that the R82 upgrade images (both ISO and Blink-HF34) ship with an older version of the CPupgrade-tools-R82 package, which seems to have a bug. On the affected system, the build number is:

[Expert@SMS-PRI:0]# cpprod_util CPPROD_GetValue CPupgrade-tools-R82 BuildNumber
1998001093

After deploying a new management server with R82 JHF34 and manually updating to the latest CPupgrade-tools-R82, I no longer encounter the error when importing the database. The updated build shows:

[Expert@SMS-PRI:0]# cpprod_util CPPROD_GetValue CPupgrade-tools-R82 BuildNumber
1998001165

I will let you know if the upgrade is successful.

@Eran_Habad the R82 ISO/Blink images need to be updated with working upgrade tools.
