Migrate to a New Management Scenario

Hi All,

We found an issue after upgrading from 80.10 to 81.10 only on management side.

We are using openserver, after upgrade we realized that the storage suddenly full especially on LV and make snapshot failed. Anyone facing this issue before, any idea?

From this situation, we have a plan to create a new management vm with same IP management. Any major concern with this scenario?

Do we need to reestablished SIC? Because we trying to minimum downtime impact. Any other suggestion for this? Thanks:)

What exactly happened after upgrade? Do you have output of df -h?

You should not need to establish SIC again, provided you have the same hostname and IP and you have exported the existing data using the latest migration tools.

Did you check the space requirements prior to upgrading?

Also backup backup and backup!

Can you elaborate on the plan? Do you want to have a new management form scratch, or are you going to use the old backup/export?

Hello
it should not be required reset the SICs if you load the export file to a r81.10 fresh install management server.
take precautions anyway

I agree with everyone who stated that, as every single time I did this in the lab, it never needed SIC reset.
