hi,
sorry for dumb question:
we couldn't find out the best practice for adding/selecting multiple objects via SmartConsole
Object Explorer: Simply take an Network object and try to add more than 100 existing host objects to it.
Pressing 100 times the plus sign is not really funny. CTRL-A or SHIFT does not work. Even when you can select them by type or comment.
Best Regards
Oh, now I see what you mean. I'll open an internal RFE (request for enhancement) to add capabilities like Group Selected Objects (which does exist directly from rulebase).
Thats not dumb question at all actually. Not sure if that was ever possible, but will play around and see.
Best,
Andy
If you are running R81.20 there is a degradation and it stopped working. This should be fixed in an upcoming JHF.
I just tested in R80.40, exact same issue...
Andy
hi,
it is R81.10 HF110 and SmartConsole build 418 / 420
Regards
I literally stayed up last night till 1 am trying to figure this out, its so frustrating lol. Anyway, dont worry, I will not give up!
Best,
Andy
Best I found was holding SHIFT and then adding entries, but thats literally the same as hitting + sign. I wont give up, its really bugging me now, Im sure there is way to do this...
Andy
Click on the first object, then Shift + last object.
This is how it looks in R81.10. As I mentioned above there was a degradation in R81.20 that is fixed in one of the JHFs
I tried exactly that in R81.10 yesterday, nothing...
Andy
Hi
hm, does not work for me R81.10 HF110 / SmartConsole Build 420
Yes, I can highlight them. But I'm unable to put them into a Network Object Group.
Regards
You screenshot shows a selection of a couple of hosts. Are you able to copy them into a NetworkObjectGroup e.g. "MyServer" ?
Yup, exactly same issue here...
Andy
Oh, now I see what you mean. I'll open an internal RFE (request for enhancement) to add capabilities like Group Selected Objects (which does exist directly from rulebase).
hi,
Sounds good, Great.
Thanks
