Fingerprint changed

Hi,

I was trying to log in to our checkpoint firewall but this error messages were displayed

"The fingerprint of the server “x.x.x.x” was changed. To protect against impersonation of your server, compare the new Fingerprint"

. I have re-confirmed the finger print on the device and it is correct. Please what should I do to be able to log in to the device safely? The error snapshot is here in attached.

Should i just click on the yes to change the fingerprint or what would you advice i do?

Swift responses will be highly appreciated.

Thanks

Taiwo

Hi Taiwo,

You mentioned: "I have re-confirmed the finger print on the device and it is correct".

Can you confirm how did you check that? I am using the command "fwm fingerprint localhost 443" however it is giving me a different fingerprint and in a different format too. Here is the output for me:

# fwm fingerprint localhost 443
#DN OID.1.2.840.113549.1.9.2=An optional company name,Email=Email Address,CN=192 .168.1.1,L=Locality Name (eg\, city)
#FINGER B7:23:2E:35:83:45:6C:E7:93:68:F3:65:6F:DE:68:1B
