Any plans to enable hit count in web smart console?
Ola boys and girls,
Happy Monday 🙂
Just wondering, maybe someone from R&D can comment if they see this post, any plans at all to add hit count option to web smart console? I was hoping R82 would have it, but definitely not EA, as it does not give that option in my R82 lab.
Also tried R81.10 and R81.20, same thing.
Customer asked me this last week, as they told me would find it super convenient.
Best,
Andy

Theoretically it should be possible since hit counts are available through the API.

Hi,
Full feature parity with SmartConsole will indeed take time.
However, we aim to have most of the common daily operations.
We recently added support for editing capabilities to all rulebases (Access, Nat, Threat prevention, Https inspection), rulebase search and there is more to come.
You can follow our SK for updates:

Thank,

So how would I make it work? 🙂

I was speaking more to the technical feasibility of us implementing it.
Whether we will or not is a separate question.

Hi @the_rock,
Thank you for your feedback and suggestion, we are continuously adding more and more features to Web SmartConsole.
It is valuable for us to hear such feedback and better prioritize the missing features.
We do know that hit count is important and it is in our roadmap.
Note that Web SmartConsole is constantly released regardless of our main train version.
This means that when a new feature is ready it is rolled out and can be used without installing a new Management version or Jumbo.
Thank you,
Ofir.

Thank you Ofir, appreciated. I think customer simply asked me this as I remember them mentioning it would be nice to see web smart console have same functionality as regular smart dashboard. Not sure if that will ever be the case.
