Maestro Masters
Round Table session with Maestro experts
Dear All,
I want to assign specific CPU's to an VS. On the fly this can be accomplished via
To configure the affinities of Virtual Systems:
fw ctl affinity -s -d [-vsid <VSID ranges> ] -cpu <CPU ID ranges> |
However this does not survive a Hardware reboot and $FWDIR/conf/fwaffinity.conf need to be edited.
The Admin guide is not so clear to me as it defines only:
The configuration file $FWDIR/conf/fwaffinity.conf controls CoreXL affinity settings.
Each line in this plain-text file uses the same format: <type> <id> <cpu_id>
DataAllowed ValuesDescription
<type> | i | Configures the affinity of an interface. |
| n | Configures the affinity of a Check Point daemon. |
| k | Configures the affinity of a CoreXL Firewall instance. |
<id> | Name of Interface | If <type> = i. |
| Name of Daemon | If <type> = n. |
| ID of CoreXL Firewall instanceFirewall instance | If <type> = k. |
Can someone please help me how to achieve this ?
Thanks
Hipo
I believe below may help
Andy
How should I understand this ?
After r80.40 it's not needed to edit the file ?? Only need to be done in earlier versions ( r80.20 ; r80.30).
Correct, it does not need to be done, but definitely not required R80.40 and above.
