New Checkpoint VSX Gateway
Will the new Checkpoint box have trial license attached with it ? I read it somewhere it has license for 30 days ?
I am about to deploy a new box with VSX. Does it need to be added right from the start or can be added later on as well once we setup the cluster and required configuration if it provides 30 days of trial license ?

The in built trial license is 14-days. Why not apply the real / production license?

@Chris_Atkinson thinking about adding the license once the box is in Cluster.
I can then easily use Smartupdate and then attach the license to the gateway.
Any opinion ?

Thats right. Trail licence is 14 days as Chris said. Eval is good for 30 days.

I would typically recommend the production license or an eval as @PhoneBoy has linked to.
For me this just avoids any entitlement / functionality gaps etc.

Quantum Security Gateway products have a built-in 15-day eval (the "Plug and Play" license).
For a 30-day eval: https://community.checkpoint.com/t5/General-Topics/How-to-Request-an-Evaluation-License-for-Security...
