Checkpoint Native Micro-Segmention

Hi Colleagues,

Is there a Checkpoint native solution for micro-segmentation?
With "Checkpoint native" I mean a solution that's not just piggybacking on things like NSX.

I remember that a few years ago at a Vienna CPX I saw a presentation on an agent based solution that reminds me of how Illumio achieves micro-segmentation.
Was this project scraped or can we expect a product somewhen in the future?

I'd be thankful for all information.

Over the years, we've looked at a number of approaches for Microsegementation.
Given that a lot of workloads aren't necessarily in virtual machines, not sure an agent-based approach will have wide adoption.
