Renew of CCTE
Hi,
My CCTE expiration date was last December, so some days before this date I passed CCCP and I also obtained CCSM in the same shot. But now I see that my CCTE is not renewed... should it be done passing other different exam?.
Thanks in advance,
Marcos Garcia

I think you always need to maintain your highest certification, in this case CCSM. You would also see that your CCTA is expired. If you want you can do CCTE over again to keep it certified for vendor status. You will get the newer CCTE exam that is in my opinion a good exam. But achieving higher certification will not renew CCTE

Hello Marcos,
As indicated by @Ruan_Kotze the Specialist is not renewed or extended by achieving the CCSM.
All of the Specialist certifications are 2-year certs and extensions do not apply to any Specialist certification. None are extended by getting the CCSM or CCSM Elite.
If a user wants to recertify on a Specialist, they should sit the exam. You can sit the exam of the same version again or an updated version if available, your choice.
Please share this information, because I have had several Partners who expected the Specialist to be extended when achieving the CCSM or CCSM Elite.
Best regards,
Jason

There were not a lot of changes in the new exam. Any changes were made to line up with the new courseware.
Thanks

Hi again,
In Pearson Vue there are 2 exam codes for CCTE:
- 156-586 for R81
-156-587 for R81.20
Any of them will renew the vendor status?
Thanks in advance,
Marcos García

Maybe you can find that info here:
Login, check under My Check Point -> My Partner Profile -> Parner Dashboard
I suspect both will do it, but in my opinion just take the latest version.

Hi @Jason_Tugwell , do you know whether there is a significant difference between CCTE exams 156-586 (R81)and 156-587 (R81.2)? Thanks & Regards, Cvijetin
