Hi,
Can somebody confirm, if it is possibly to take exam to extend certification (CCSE) on the day of certification expiration? Is expiration date inclusive?
(Before somebody asks, no i am not planning to exam on the last day, but i want to know if i still have that date as a contingency)
Thanks
According to the certification FAQs document, if your CCSE is R80 or higher, you can recertify CCSE again by taking a newer exam even if it is expired:
Hope it answers your question. Or were you asking about an extension with a specialist exam?
@guesstimation - Yes, having your CCSE extended on the expiration date is still possible.
If the extension does not happen automatically, notify us at certification@checkpoint.com and we will add the extension.
Regards,
Jason
This is addressed in the FAQ 🙂 sk163417
Your goal is to maintain your highest certification or progress to the next level.
You are not required to recertify on the lower certifications.
You will only recertify on a lower certification if you allow your highest level of certification to expire.
I did that back in R77.30 days and it was fine, but cant confirm if same applies now.
Maybe @Jason_Tugwell can confirm for you.
Andy
