CCSE expired 3 months - How to recertify
Hi,
My CCSE (R80) expired on 31st March this year and I would like to recertify it. I've had a look around forum but not clear as to which exams I need to sit for this.
Should I just sit CCSE R81 and it will all validate or do I need to go back and sit CCSA R81 and then CCSE R81 too. Is there a certain time period after expiration we need to sit CCSE before needing to CCSA?
Can someone from Checkpoint please assist.
Sajid

Thanks for your response. I went through the SK and understood this.
New rule says "Any R77 or prior CCSE must restart the certification path with the CCSA exam."
In the graphic below, R80 and above that is expired just needs to sit the latest CCSE 156-215.81 exam to recertify.
I see many people confused on this as we also got a different version from our local SE

Well, put it this way...regardless of the vendor, once any cert expires, you should technically renew : - )

What is confusing there? The chart shows your certification path for both R8x and R77 or below. There are two branches.
Logically, if you were R77 certified, all your certificates would anyway expire by now. If your highest certification was on any of R8x, you need to re-certify your highest level. If you were on R77, you need to start with R8x.
Plain and simple.

Hello @Sajid_Abbas
You may recertify by taking the R81 CCSE.
If you have further questions feel free to email me.
Regards,
Jason
