Very good, it's a very interesting topology. An extension that helps a lot, it could very well be integrated into SmartConsole in future versions
Hey Danny,
Does it work in demo mode as well? I tried, but though it did accept it, cant see it listed anywhere in gateway menu.
Very cool addition. Clean, practical, and easy to understand. This kind of visibility makes a real difference for admins managing complex environments. Great work, Danny.
This is a great contribution to the Check Point community. 👏 Having a clearer topology view directly in SmartConsole can really improve visibility and management efficiency.
Visibility is key! Normally I draw schemes myself when troubleshooting, this really speeds things up! Great addition and idea for a next release of SmartConsole
amazing integration! and the export to draw.io is very helpful for documentation.
is the tool supporting VSX? I noticed it shows just the main IP of the VS.
I'm looking forward for next releases.
Great job👍
@Claudio_Bolcato: I just added VSX support.
Another great extension Danny 😊 but only works with regular gateways.
I am using VSX and this extension currently only displays the VS management IP.
No related interfaces (e.g. bond1.50 or warp). Any plans to cover VSX topology?
Exporting as draw.io diagram looks useful.
Maybe, hcp reports should also have a option like that. (I don't know if it has already.)
Also Danny,
Is it possible to make it work for cluster objects? When I tried it on cluster objects, it gets stuck at trying to fetch.
I can fetch the members but, the virtual ip addresses are not seen. Is this an error?
Really nice, but seems it's not working anymore. At least not in R82.10 on-prem or Smart-1 Cloud?
Don't see the topology tab anymore..
@PatrickHen: Works well on SmartConsole R82.10.
Really powerful addition Danny..I would say this would should be something Checkpoint looks to have in there produce.
Question:
How it is discovering the topology? When I use it, it only seems to find 1 subnet.
@genisis__: It's looking up the interface topology from the json output of:show object name "MyGateway" --format json
@genisis__: It's looking up the interface topology from the json output of:show object name "MyGateway" --format json
I've tried on a VS and tried on a SMB device, both come back with a single subnet, which is strange. I'll try using the above command as a test to see if that produces the same results, if not will let you know.
Very interesting view to understand the connections between firewall and other appliances. This does not apply to VSX and Maestro. Regards.
