The extension utilizes gaia-api/simulate-packet and falls back to run-script/fw up_execute if required.

I get an "Could not load interface list. No interfaces in SmartConsole context."

Is this related to R81.20 or usage of bonding interfaces?

@S_E_: Check Point's recommended release is R82 JHF 91. I suggest an upgrade.
