core affinity question.

Installed a new 5600 cluster recently and not seeing the expected result in regards to core allocation.  I gave corexl a 2/2 split, but seems like SND/IRQ only has 1 core assigned:

fw ctl affinity -l
eth1: CPU 0
eth5: CPU 0
eth2: CPU 0
eth3: CPU 0
eth4: CPU 0
Mgmt: CPU 0
fw_0: CPU 3
fw_1: CPU 2

RX-DRP is zero, so i'm not really worried, just wondering.

thanks

All of my 4800s with a 2/2 split looks correct:

fw ctl affinity -l
eth5: CPU 0
eth1: CPU 1
eth6: CPU 1
eth2: CPU 1
eth7: CPU 1
eth1-01: CPU 0
eth3: CPU 0
eth1-02: CPU 1
Mgmt: CPU 0
eth4: CPU 0
fw_0: CPU 3
fw_1: CPU 2

It's weird that CPU 1 doesn't even show up in your fw ctl affinity output.

What version/jumbo hotfix level?

Do you see any CPU usage on CPU 1 (e.g. with cpview or similar)?

If i sit on the overview screen of cpview, every now and then CPU1 will pop up for a cycle or two.  CPU1 doesn't seem to be doing much - but could that be because there isn't really anything more to do?

This 5600 cluster is a loaner from my sales team to replace a 4400 cluster that was experiencing ~3% RX-DRP.  Since replacing with a 5600, there have been 0 RX-DRPs, and it's running incredibly smooth with low CPU usage.

Not sure if /proc/interrupts adds any value.

It's clear from /proc/interrupts Core1 isn't doing much of anything.

I'd open a TAC case.
