Windows and MacOS have a central certificate store of sorts that apps can use.
Each Linux distro has a different mechanism for this.
On RedHat it appears to be: https://access.redhat.com/solutions/3220561
Note that like on other operating systems, applications may use their own certificate store or employ certificate pinning.

Linux doesn’t appear to have a universal standard for this, every distro handles it a bit differently.
Browsers (Firefox in particular) often have their own.
Other applications will as well.
