SG 6200 CPU specs/performance
Hi CheckMates,
Can somebody please provide SG6200 CPU type, specs etc.. And do you have any experience with inspection CPU overload during high pps?
Thanks in advance,
Ivan

Officially, we do not provide information on the precise Intel processors used in our appliances.
Further, appliance performance is impacted by things other than the precise CPU used.
That said, you're comparing a current generation appliance to one from two generations ago.

I'd start all such discussions with the official datasheet:
https://www.checkpoint.com/downloads/products/6200-security-gateway-datasheet.pdf
All appliances more or less act the same when you've reached its processing capacity.
A 6200 will just reach that point more quickly than, say, a 7000 Series.

Thank for the prompt reply. I have checked datasheet already but I am aiming for more specific CPU info. I am about changing an old 4400 (Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU E3400 @ 2.60GHz
) running at its max regarding processing power(inspection throttles), and want to be sure that 6200/6200T would fulfill our needs.

The 4400 was GA in May 2012, 10 years ago ! Look at the specs:
Compare to something contemporary in the same class like the 6400:
