We have a spare UTM 570 we would like to put the snapshot on but since exporting it is not available, we will need to restore a backup on it but need to install R70 HFA_10 Hotfix 175 - Build 001 on the spare to do this. TAC doesn't have this version available anymore. Does anyone here might have one that they can share? Or do you know of a better way to copy the production UTM 570 image to the spare?
Well, I would backup manually any necessary configuration file so that I would be ready to restore configuration on the spare appliance.
I would use:
/bin/cat /boot/modules/simkern.conf
/bin/cat /boot/modules/sim_aff.conf
$FWDIR/boot/modules/fwkern.conf
$FWDIR/boot/modules/vpnkern.conf
$FWDIR/conf/fwaffinity.conf
$FWDIR/conf/fwauthd.conf
$FWDIR/conf/local.arp
$FWDIR/conf/discntd.if
$FWDIR/conf/cpha_bond_ls_config.conf
$FWDIR/conf/resctrl
$FWDIR/conf/vsaffinity_exception.conf
$FWDIR/conf/vpn_route.conf
$FWDIR/database/qos_policy.C
/bin/cat /var/ace/sdconf.rec
/bin/cat /var/ace/sdopts.rec
/sbin/arp -an
/sbin/route -n
/bin/netstat -rn
/bin/df -h
/bin/ctrl_dns
/sbin/ifconfig -a
/bin/cat /etc/sysctl.conf
/bin/cat /etc/hosts
/bin/cat /etc/dhcpd.conf
/bin/cat /etc/sysconfig/ntp
/bin/cat /etc/nsswitch.conf
/bin/cat /etc/sysconfig/dhcrelay
/bin/ls /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/
/bin/cat /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg*
/bin/cat /etc/sysconfig/netconf.C
/bin/cat /etc/resolv.conf
/bin/cat /etc/rc.d/rc.local
/bin/cplic_start print
/bin/cpstat_start os -f ifconfig
/bin/cpfw_start ver
/bin/cpfw_start stat
... and some of them are just status not configuration file so that you can understand if the new firewall has the same comportment than the previous one.
But better than that, I would definitely ask for a trade-in chick my SE and move to a supported appliance/version asap because... don't need to repeat that neither the version R70 nor the hardware UTM-1 57x is supported and for a long time...
