Open Server Cisco UCS M4 and M5
Hi,
Anyone running Open Server Security Gateway R80 on Cisco UCS M4 or M5?
I want to order new hardware for our R80 migration, and can only find UCS M4 seriers on the hardware compatibility list. The problem is that the raid controller on the list is outdated, and no longer a options on Cisco UCS.
Symbios also changed name to LSI a couple years ago.
Any input much appreciated!

The general rule is: if it's not in the HCL, it's not supported.
In terms of newer hardware for Security Gateway, once R80.20 with the new kernel is available, it will be possible to support additional hardware.
Of course, if you install VMware ESX on the UCS, you can run virtualized instances just fine.
