Hi. I'll be remotely helping a colleague reset the admin password on our new (configured but not racked) 5200 gateway using a CentOS 7 Live USB. I've never done this before so I want to confirm which button needs to be pressed to get it to boot from USB. I believe the tab button needs to be pressed for this. Would be great to get this confirmed. Thanks.
has this GW SIC to MNG? If it is - you can change it via cprid_util. If not - it's a bit complicated but not impossible. Check this thread https://community.checkpoint.com/t5/General-Management-Topics/Forgot-admin-password-in-CLI/td-p/5679...
Hi Martin,
Thanks for the reply. We've been looking at sk163461 as the GW hasn't yet been hooked up to the MGMT server.
Generally, it’s sufficient to power on the appliance with the USB inserted.
You can monitor the reimaging via the serial console,
Thanks, PhoneBoy.
