Maestro Madness
After I enabled "categorize https websites" on my internet facing gateway, some of the government specific websites stopped working and rest of the internet sites worked well. Any idea what would went wrong?
I haven't seen any drops in smart console during the issue reported time.
Hello Val and @Timothy_Hall
i've the same problem.
A correct categorized site in checkpoint cloud it result uncategorized in my logs and correctly dropped according to my policy.
What i found debugging during the access to the web site is this:
any suggestion?
i've already opened a Case to CP buy the story seems to be long...
Version in use, HTTPSi enabled yes/no?
no HTTPSi and it is gaia embedded r80.20.20
Do you mean traffic getting dropped in firewall because of Checkpoint URLF failed to categorize the website?
In my case, URL's were categorized as Government/Military category in Checkpoint online DB but when I try to access with "Categorize HTTPS websites" enabled, its not allowing me to access. For testing we have changed option from Hold to Background under Checkpoint Online Services section, immediately it started responding. Basically it failed to categorize the site.
As the site uses self signed certificate but we have added root CA of those sites in our HTTPS inspection trusted CA but still issue remains same. Still CP is investigating on this one.
thank you for your feedback
my setting is Background; URLF categorize sites like uncatogrized
another cluster under the same CMA is working correctly (it can categorize)
