SMB 1800 Cluster License Activation
Hi all,
I setting a new pair of firewalls and form as cluster via locally managed. Previously both boxes are running on trial license and now the trial license is expired. I activated the local perpetual license for the active unit member via License option under the Gaia Embedded Portal, but I unable to found this option under the standby unit member. The standby unit member is showing No License.
Can anyone guide how to activate the standby unit license in such circumstance?
One more question about the HA, will the cluster failover still working if standby unit don't have license now? hop

Do a failover first and then activate the local perpetual license for the active unit member via License option under the Gaia Embedded Portal. In SMB clustering, after doing FTW, you only configure parameters on the active member, the standby member will be synced automatically (can not be configured seperately). Licenses can not be synced in Cluster as both nodes do have different licenses...

Im fairly sure failover will work, but Im just wondering, is this supposed to be local or central license?

Well, this is good idea to try out with failover. The license is a local license.

If its a local license, then goes per device, it would not "transfer" to the other member.
