New firmware versions have a couple of attributes:
- Bugs of previous builds have been fixed
- new features are available
and - as experience told us many times -
- new bug(s) appear
When i know that an update is ready, i will first read which bugs have been fixed (one of mine ? one i think is important and may occur to me in the future?) and about the new features (do i need anything there real badly?), then wait for experiences on CheckMates 😎. Always better to wait a bit longer...
The automatic firmware update is able to cut you off from internet completely ( this once did happen with Safe@/Edges ), so for security reasons, i would not use it.
