Check Point 910 Small and Medium Business Appliances
We have a new baby - the 910 Appliance ! It features a 19" Rack Mount Enclosure, a very fast quad core CPU,
RJ-45 / SFP (1GbE) DMZ port and 16x 1GbE LAN ports. Locally managed and wired only, but cute, look here:
And the main feature has to be added here - an internal power supply !!! No more wall warts .

From: https://www.checkpoint.com/products/small-business-security/
It performs a little better than a 790 in a different form factor.

The main difference to the 7x0 models ist that there is no external PSU, but an internal - comes in handy for a rackmount appliance!

Similar 1610 expected? That would be good for a big number of our customers.

I am not so shure - compared to the 790, a 910 adds 19", includes rack ears, internal PSU and 7 - 12 % additional throughput. If we look at the price level we will find that these additions cost a lot of money .

Can the 910 appliances be centrally managed by a Security Management Server? Or only through the Security Management Portal (SMP)?

Only via the Security Management Portal (SMP). The 1400 appliances can be managed by a Security Management Server.
