Set name of VPN RA site via hyperlink

Hey guys,

Since E80.82 VPN remote access client for windows we can add a site using a hyperlink like this one:

cpvpn:///?host=192.0.2.198&auth=username-password

Is there any undocumented way to set the name of the site? I tried using name=<site-name>, but it does not work for windows (only mobile, which has a different URL format).

If not, then is there any way to change the site name after it is created?

The URL for windows and QRCode for mobiles are great when creating a making VPN connection manual for my costumers.

Thank you for your comment.

The host field is for IP or DNS, not visible name. For costumers that have a DNS name for the site IP, it is fine. For those that use the IP address to connect, the visible name of the site will be just the IP, which is terrible if the costumer has more than one office he needs to connect to.

I wanted to know if the URL supports an additional field to set the visible name.

Hi Pedro,

Currently, when using 'Create site from link' the name of the site is the 'host' name without any option to change it (there is no way to change the site name after it is created). 

However, I understand the significance of such abilities and I have added it to our roadmap.

Hi Pedro,

I'm happy to update you that we are going to add a new parameter (displayName) that will give us the option to set the name of the site (use the IP/DNS only in cases displayName is empty).

This ability will be added to E81.20 (ETA - ~begin of July).
