Capsule connects to VPN, but cant use any services

Hi,

We have a couple of users connecting to our VPN via Capsule.

Today several of us can connect to the VPN, but cant then use any of the services allowed in the remote access rule.

Endpoint VPN works fine.

My Windows 10 build info attached

Any ideas

Cheers

Wayne

Look into the RA logs and compare Capsule clients connections that have the issue and these that work.

Both get office mode IP addresses.

The Capsule client cant connect to any allowed service (RDP etc), the Endpoint VPN client can

Cant see any drops etc

is it possible to remove / uninstall Capsule and install it again?

Cant see any options to do that.

It looks like you're using Ver.2004, which I believe the Windows 10 Capsule Plugin is not yet supported per the following SK.

Capsule VPN (from Windows Store client) either crashes or is unable to pass traffic on Windows 10 build 2004 (May 2020 update)

Say... the next ver.2009 is almost widely available... when will the app be compatible with recent versions? 🤔

Capsule VPN is basically a wrapper for the relevant functionality in Windows (assuming you’re talking about the app installed from the Windows store).
You should be able to delete and re-add the app.

Thanks PhoneBoy, must be a Windows / MS Store issue as there is no remove or uninstall.

Windows 10 is NOT supported since build 2004 sk167414. There currently are less than 10 tickets open in support regarding this issue. Please if you use Windows 10 and it does not work for you open a support ticket. It will not get fixed until it becomes a priority for Check Point. I have Windows 10 installs that work on R80.20 but fail on R80.40. If it is working today and you upgrade or apply JHF I believe it is unpredictable if Capsule Win 10 capsule will still work.

Well that was excellent timing. Support just updated the ticket and it is fixed. The fix required me to update office mode to include dns servers lease time and domain. Now works on both the R80.20 and R80.40

Hi *

unfortunately it didn't fix it for us. We're currently on R80.30 and Windows clients running Windows 10 v20H2 still cannot transfer packets.
The only option at the moment seems to be the installation of the Endpoint Security Client.

hope there will be a suitable fix soon...
