Performance

The two 18 core CPUs (72 total virtual) in the 26000 gives you up to 24 Gbps of threat prevention throughput. The two 12 core CPUs (48 total virtual) in the 16000 gives you up to 16.4 Gbps of threat prevention throughput. View the appliance comparison chart. With Maestro software support later this year, you'll be able to cluster multiple 26000 security gateways together to get up to 1 Tbps of NGTP throughput.

Packages

With this release ordering the appliances becomes a bit easier.

  • The appliance SKU is decoupled from the security subscription SKU, i.e. pick the hardware configuration you want, then the security subscription; NGFW, NGTP or NGTX (SandBlast) for 1, 3 or 5 years
  • The NGFW security subscription is available again
  • Security subscriptions are for 1, 3 or 5 years
  • Security subscription includes Direct or Collaborative Premium Support
